As part of the Year of Immigration, Professors Wendy Stickle and Christine White took 15 students to Italy this summer to study the intersection between the refugee crisis and human trafficking. They kept a blog during the experience.

Read articles focused on asylum, activism and Latin American immigration, sanctuary jurisdictions, original poetry about the immigration experience, and Q&As with Latinx faculty and staff in previous issues of El Terrapino, published annually by the Latin American Studies Center.

Throughout the year, our Scholars faculty and staff across programs will share their responses to three questions around our 2018–19 annual theme, "Migrations: Populations and Practices on the Move." The questions typically will focus on resources program directors are using for their colloquia. These resources might be field trips, films, readings and more.
